arrow How can I install the .sh wormux package on linux ? URL de la question

The .sh file is a « shell » that will be directly executed in the console, so you don't even have to install it ! But linux doesn't basically allow you to run it, and so for security purpose. Since Wormux is not dangerous for you computer, there's the way you can change this configuration on Ubuntu :

1- Right click on the .sh file, click on « properties » and then on the tab « permissions ».
2- You should see something like «allow the execution of this file». You have to check this box, and close the window.
3- Then, when you double click on the file, a little window should appear asking what you want to do with this. Click on « Run it », and wormux should work !
arrow I have set an option that makes the game crash at startup. I have tried to reinstall but it still crashes, what can I do ? URL de la question

Options are recorded in a file dedicated to your user. You can remove this file to get back to default options. Depending on your system, the file may be located in :

  • For Linux/Unix system (including Mac OS X): $HOME/.config/wormux/config.xml with $HOME corresponding to the home directory of your user, for instance /home/linus
Hint: under OS X, to access this hidden folder, use menu Go >> Go to Folder and type ~/.config/wormux in the dialog that appears
  • For Windows Vista system: C:\\Users\Bill\AppData\Wormux\config.xml if your user is called Bill
  • For Windows XP system: C:\\Documents and Settings\Bill\Application Data\Wormux\config.xml if your user is called Bill

Beware that in all cases, this file or one of the directory containing it is hidden!
arrow When will the next version of Warmux be released ? And what will be the new features ? URL de la question

Warmux is developed entirely by enthusiasts working during their free time. Depending on their motivation, it is impossible to say when a new release will happen. For the same reason, we can not tell you what will be the new features.
arrow Why can't I enter fullscreen mode on OS X ? URL de la question

This is a limitation in SDL, a framework upon which warmux is built. The best hope is that a future version of SDL would solve this.

This has been fixed for the upcoming version of Warmux.
arrow Why there is still this @#%$*& bug ? URL de la question

For a bug to be fixed, it must be known by developers. If you are using the latest version of Warmux and you have seen a bug, check if it is listed on the bug tracker: https://gna.org/bugs/?group=warmux

Else, report it explaining how to reproduce it. If you are not confident enough to post on the bug tracker, you can also report the bug on the forum, but it will give more work for us.

Once a bug is known, developers can begin to work. Anyway, some bugs are really hard to fix and as explained above, Warmux is developed only by volunteers. Bugs will not be solved faster by insulting developers. It has for only effects to demotivate us. Like users, we are hating bugs!
