I do not like the skin, it is beautiful, but I think the body is too thin and his arms a little too pixelated. I think you should be able to change a little, right?

Otherwise, I love the map Qubos, very nice and fun I find

Yes, this is an 'alpha' release so to speak. I was hoping for some critique. Once again, it would help to have the original body svg's, to work from- I had to recoulorize and paint the php body base to get it right, and it was nearly impossible to keep it lossless. I can work from Inkscape but I couldn't seem to draw the frame right. Also it's hard to do some things in it (like blur only the bottom of the head, for example, to make it fit with the neck) so I used Gimp. Yes though, the arms are not doe very well, only reason they are so small is that in the original Duke mascot they are also small:

But no, it wouldn't hurt to change the original a bit- Oracle made the mascot graphics open source and they say you can change him to your liking.

I'll work on it today, hopefully smooth him off a bit.

Thanks for the compliment on Qubos Castle, I liked how the background came out. I plan on using Blender 3D to make a better (but still the same principle) foreground with smooth, possibly squiggly edges on the cubes. (blender softbodies RULE, here's something i did last week: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4413258/randomwood3%20-%20Converted.avi)

All the best,

Qubos_Castle map and java skin are now in svn in "community maps" and "community skins" folders. I'll make a package soon to download maps and skins on website
