Few day ago I've downloaded the Linux 0.8.5 standalone binary
but when I try to enter in network game it hangs up leaving the following messages on terminal:

Ps: I have a doubt.... it's possible to play in network mode using different versions?
because my friend has the windows 0.8.5 and I want to download the ubuntu 8.04 LTS's repository version (0.8beta4-1)
if it's not possible... what's the best way to play 0.8.5 version without these bugs?

Thanks Jika I'll try this package but I think I'll have some problems since this package is for jaunty ... if it doesn't work I'll try to compile it for my ubuntu

Yes... it really works for 8.04 I've installed it right now and it's working great ... without the bug on the network game
