Hello,
thanks to all programmers for this new version
.
I really like the game, but on my opinion the bazooka of this new version is far too strong. There is no nead for other weapons any more because one shot with the bazooka usually kills the character immediately. The weapons and its damages were really balanced before. In addition, if you are using the blowtorch you can't move any more without using it, like it was in version 0.8.5.
What do you think about it?
greetings
qwert

We haven't changed anything about the bazooka strength, so it's quite strange that you see a so big difference. Are you sure to play in normal mode ? Does your player start with 100 health point ?
For the blowtorch, yes, can move with it, but it does not move automatically. Once you enable it, you just have to move to dig

I've just checked it and the bazooka is very strong in the classic game mode as well as in network games. The players start with 100 health points.
Apart from that I can't hear a sound anymore. (I'm using the Linux version.)
Citation:
I didn't mean that you can't dig with the blowtorch, but that you can't move without digging when the blowtorch is enabled. I just wanted to say that I'm in favour of the way it was before, when you had to press the space-bar to dig.
One more thing I have to add
: The minimap is very large now, but you don't get more information out of it. In my opinion it is really too large.

minimap is smallest than previous release (sure) but i think it could be better with a defined size in px
Not (easily) feasible. Map size must be 1/2^n (with n an integer) the size of the actual map. Additional restriction to avoid too big a minimap is that any dimension must not be bigger than 1/3 of the display area.
Do you want to hear the mathematical and software reasons?
This could be added to a FAQ, possibly with the files distributed.

Is the sound issue a known bug, or am I doing anything wrong?
Can anybody please check whether the bazooka is really stronger now or just as usual?
I've just noticed a missing translation: When the game is loading and the different icons (game, sound, weapons...) are shown, the network-icon-text isn't translated, while the others are.

I have fixed the bazooka problem : https://gna.org/bugs/?15270
The network icon text is translated, but some translators haven't sent updates.
If you talk about the sound issue with the linux standalone package, this is a known issue but it seems difficult to have sound working with all distros (pulse audio does not help on that side). If you are using Ubuntu, you should try the package from the ppa.

Yeah, I noticed the thing about the bazooka as well. I find it quite overpowered as well.
One other thing that's bothering me is the grappling gun. The chain sticks to walls, and it won't fire if you're not aiming at a something it can stick to, but you still lose one grappling gun.
I've discovered that it's possible to use the grappling gun in the way it's possible to use it in Worms, that is to fire the grappling gun at something, swing, release and fire it again. Only you lose a grappling gun for each time you fire it. In Worms it was so that if you were able to shoot, swing, release, and shoot at something again before hitting the ground, you didn't lose a grappling gun.
I'm really happy that there's such a well made Worms port made for Linux. And it's free! You guys are really awesome. I still haven't figured everything out, but I'm looking forward to learning more about the different aspects of the game.

Shouldn't we release a 0.9.1 version then? I don't think it is compatible with 0.9.0 because of this damage modification, hence it is proper to bump the version.
