I was playing around in GIMP the other day so I tried to recreate the wormux menu art/grenade stuff with my own work. Here's how it turned out, use these for whatever you might wish, and if anyone wants the xcf (19 or so layers, 10 MB, that's why I didn't upload it this time around) I'll post it up for you.

NOTE: these images are very large. (2000x1600)
You need to right-click and choose "view image" or "open image" for firefox and opera respectively. (i haven't used internet explorer in years, hate that microsoft junk, you're on your own as to how you open the image with it, should be similar though)
